Harry Rees, work experience at Huw David Design

Harry Rees

This week we’ve been fortunate to see the return of UWIC Graphic Communication student, Harry Rees bless our studio. He’s selflessly used his 2 weeks time off from university to undertake some work experience with us and so far so good.

Here’s an article Harry was kind enough to write on his first week week with us:

After a three year absence from Huw David Design it’s great to finally be back, it’s safe to say the boys have welcomed me back with arms wide open.

Firstly, I was provided with a company email account, this had some sentimental value as now I could consider myself apart of the team. Tuesday to Wednesday was an ease in for what was to come; a wine menu and some business card concepts followed by some typesetting with a whopping 80 page document. In my spare time I also worked on a few concepts for a branding project and was happy to see the following day that they had been used within the final client presentation.

Towards the end of the week, I started on a few visuals for a large client. If one of my concepts eventually gets chosen, the smile on my face will be extremely huge.

With three consecutive weeks working in the design industry now it’s hopefully a good omen before graduating.
