Tash watch — Week 4

Huw David Design — Movember challenge 2012

Our 4th annual Movember challenge has now come to an end and as proud as we are to raise much needed funds for the Prostate Cancer charity we also must admit that our Mum’s are keen as mustard to see back the sight their cleaning shaven sons’.

This year, Harry and Graham went the extra mile by not only emailing, texting and tweeting friends and family but also by publishing weekly embarrassing tashed photos.

In terms of fundraising we were fortunate to raise £244.98 which with Gift Aid of £58.25 saw a respectable total of £303.23. In our 4 years of taking part in Movember this sees a total of £1,041.17 being provided to the Prostate Cancer charity.

Thank you to everyone who donated and for those who would still like to our online fundraising page is still open.

Until next year tash fans…

Tash watch — Week 3

Tash watch — Week 3

We’re now at the official point of Mo return with 21 days past of our Movember challenge in aid of the Prostate Cancer charity or as we like to call it the ‘unbearable itch’ phase of our journey.

This week as well as receiving a few odd glances from our clients, knowing winks from other Mo Bros we’ve been fortunate to be been featured on 2 websites: Weekend at Dad’s and the Oasis tribute website, Stop Crying Your Heart Out. Most importantly we’ve hit through the £100 mark which in this financial climate this hasn’t been the easiest tasks but we hope the purpose of the worthy cause along with our embarrassing team photos has made the contributions worth it for our fabulous donators.

Still haven’t donated but would like to?

Our Favourites #166

Kulula Movember

Harry

Sticking to my current theme of Movember and brands, this week I’ve found what Kulula has been up to. Their famous Flying 101 plane now has its very own mo and they have been promoting movember on their Facebook page. Again it’s great to see brands interacting with its customers promoting this global phenomenon.

Movember sand drawings

Graham

My weekly Movember themed choice of favourite goes to the exceptionally creative and detailed moustache sand drawings by artist, Tony Plant. As part of Mo Fest the public are encouraged this Saturday to wear Mo’s and draw facial lipped friends in the sand at Newquay’s Great Western Beach. The event starts, tomorrow Saturday 17th November from 12 ’til 2pm.

Movember campaign 'Pass it on'

Huw

My Movember favourite this week is the Dublin based ‘Pass it on’ campaign in which artists, photographers, illustrators and designers took part raising awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer. Each of the 43 creatives designed an A3 poster which you can buy for just €10 with 100% of the proceeds going to Movember. Would love to see a similar event take place in Wales next year.

Tash watch — Week 2

Tash watch — Week 2

Hello tash fans, this weeks’ furry facial filled instalment sees the completion of the second week of our Movember challenge in aid of the Prostate Cancer charity.

This week we were fortunate to have one of Graham’s heroes mention us on Twitter, the one, the only… Neville Southall of Everton and Wales goalkeeping fame. If you’d like to donate to our challenge please feel free to via online fundraising page.

Next week further equally embarrassing team photos in lip sweater prowess…

Tash Watch — Week 1

Tash watch week 1
Today marks the end of week one of our teams’ challenge of growing manly moustaches for Movember in aid of Prostate Cancer.

To date we’ve only raised a measly £10 via our online fundraising page which we admit is very poor. On the plus side, our Mr Tash collection has been featured on Creative Review and we’ve picked up a bit of trade seeing the backing of Wynne Evans of Go Compare fame tweeting about our tees and purchasing a few items himself.

Until next week tash fans…

Our Favourites # 115

Paul Copner

Graham

My candidate for Movember fame this week is my old university friend, Paul. A picture tells a thousands stories and in his own words ‘I’ve been banned from all the sweet shops in Barry’. Feel free to support Paul’s facial growth or report him to the authorities.

Tim's 30th birthday

Tim

Thursday marked Tim’s third decade on this planet and to celebrate this milestone we went out for a meal, presents were given and assortment of pastries were consumed. Tim is continuing the celebrations into the weekend so if you should see tashed Tim ‘Tony Manero’ strutting his stuff please feel free to buy him a drink. Happy birthday Tim.

Marketing Your App

Craig

I was lucky enough to get an article published with .Net magazine this week. The article covers a 10 step approach too marketing your app and has received some great feedback. The article can be found here. Keep your eyes peeled for more articles in the very near future.

Private Joe Walker - Dad's Army

Huw

My favourite this week is my moustache grown for Movember which some people think resembles the ‘Wholesales Supplier’ Private Joe Walker from Dad’s Army.

Our Favourites # 114

Alan Morse - Movember

Graham

Continuing the Movember theme this month my favourite is the personal facial furniture proudly being worn by my buddy, Alan. Never has a tash combined with a festive jumper looked so good. Please feel free to donate to him.

Craig Lockwood - Movember

Craig

Mr Lockwood aka Tintin has made the fatal mistake not completing his favourite this week so in time honoured HDD tradition a suitable embarrassing image has been found and used as to take its place. Within the photo Craig allures at how he envisions his final Movember effort to appear, in reality after 11 days and even an additional 4 day headstart (the cheat), he’s only managed a few strands of facial hair under his nose… one large breeze and even this ‘effort’ is sure to disappear.

Moustache

Huw

We’re into week two of Movember. I’ve grown quite attached to my moustache, I may even keep it! Unfortunately I’m not brave enough to show it on here just yet, that will be next week! My favourite this week is my mo!

Tim

My favourite should be my new tash.  Those of you who connect to me on social media will have seen the unveiling last night, which has resulted in me looking like an axe murderer from the 1970′s.  However this week I came across an interesting take on QR codes, and before you start yes I know they have been around for a long time, but I still think they are relevant. These actually work and look good rather than ‘Robot puke’ as I have seen them referred to before.
