The Apprentice Sweepstake 2012

BBC - The Apprentice 2012

Wage your own boardroom battle at the office with our Apprentice Sweepstake 2012

Simply download the form, print out the page, cut along the dotted lines and get your friends or work colleagues to pay a set amount (we suggest £2 or £5), then randomly select a slip from the hat.

Send half of the money as a donation to the worthy charity ‘Velindre Cancer Centre’ then the rest is up to Lord Sugar to decide who wins the rest of the prize fund.

Can your chosen Apprentice go the distance? Or will they be among those to hear that fateful phrase… ‘You’re fired!’

Send your donations to
Velindre Cancer Centre
Velindre Road, Whitchurch, Cardiff CF14 2TL

Our Favourites # 115

Paul Copner

Graham

My candidate for Movember fame this week is my old university friend, Paul. A picture tells a thousands stories and in his own words ‘I’ve been banned from all the sweet shops in Barry’. Feel free to support Paul’s facial growth or report him to the authorities.

Tim's 30th birthday

Tim

Thursday marked Tim’s third decade on this planet and to celebrate this milestone we went out for a meal, presents were given and assortment of pastries were consumed. Tim is continuing the celebrations into the weekend so if you should see tashed Tim ‘Tony Manero’ strutting his stuff please feel free to buy him a drink. Happy birthday Tim.

Marketing Your App

Craig

I was lucky enough to get an article published with .Net magazine this week. The article covers a 10 step approach too marketing your app and has received some great feedback. The article can be found here. Keep your eyes peeled for more articles in the very near future.

Private Joe Walker - Dad's Army

Huw

My favourite this week is my moustache grown for Movember which some people think resembles the ‘Wholesales Supplier’ Private Joe Walker from Dad’s Army.

Our Favourites # 114

Alan Morse - Movember

Graham

Continuing the Movember theme this month my favourite is the personal facial furniture proudly being worn by my buddy, Alan. Never has a tash combined with a festive jumper looked so good. Please feel free to donate to him.

Craig Lockwood - Movember

Craig

Mr Lockwood aka Tintin has made the fatal mistake not completing his favourite this week so in time honoured HDD tradition a suitable embarrassing image has been found and used as to take its place. Within the photo Craig allures at how he envisions his final Movember effort to appear, in reality after 11 days and even an additional 4 day headstart (the cheat), he’s only managed a few strands of facial hair under his nose… one large breeze and even this ‘effort’ is sure to disappear.

Moustache

Huw

We’re into week two of Movember. I’ve grown quite attached to my moustache, I may even keep it! Unfortunately I’m not brave enough to show it on here just yet, that will be next week! My favourite this week is my mo!

Tim

My favourite should be my new tash.  Those of you who connect to me on social media will have seen the unveiling last night, which has resulted in me looking like an axe murderer from the 1970′s.  However this week I came across an interesting take on QR codes, and before you start yes I know they have been around for a long time, but I still think they are relevant. These actually work and look good rather than ‘Robot puke’ as I have seen them referred to before.

Today brings with it a new month and an end to our team Movember challenge. It’s been an eventful period seeing our fearless leader petrified at the sight of his own facial manliness leaving one week in, the challenge featured on a number websites but more importantly a good total raised for The Prostate Cancer Charity £334.72 including Gift Aid.

Andy 'Leslie Phillips' Begley

Graham's tash after 29 days

Graham 'Barry Chuckle' Sanders

29 days into our team Movember challenge and our heroic tashed tag team have reached the final straight (or curly).

Both Andy and Graham have stuck with the challenge for these past 4 weeks, despite scaring a few children, gaining knowing grins from like minded Mo Brothers and the odd wink and wolf whistle from a few bikers.

All of us at Huw David Design would like to thank all who have been so generous and kind to donate to this challenge which has currently raised £250.80 inc Gift Aid for the Prostate Cancer Charity.

There is just one day to complete our Movember challenge so tash fans should you wish to donate please feel free to at: http://www.justgiving.com/growatash2010

Monday Movember challenge – Week 3

Andy's tash after 22 days

Andy 'Keith Lemon' Begley

Graham's tash after 22 days

Graham 'Neville Southall' Sanders

22 days into our team Movember challenge and the 3 week itch is at a heightened state with Andy and Graham suffering severe facial prickling sensations.

However, with 3 weeks dedicated facial growth and a flurry of donations taking our total with Gift Aid now up to £189.51 our tashed tag team are fighting back the temptation to mow their tashes as they maintain the moustached brotherhood motto that ‘the Mo must go on’.

With only 8 days left to complete Movember we once again ask you tash fans if you could be so kind as to donate to our worthy cause in aid of The Prostate Cancer Charity. If you can spare anything, even if it’s just £1.00 please feel free to donate via our dedicated online fundraising page which can be found at: http://www.justgiving.com/growatash2010

See you next week for our final Movember challenge update and thanks to all who have been so kind to donate.

Huw's tash after 15 days

Huw 'I've bottled it' David

Today marks the second week of our team Movember challenge here at Huw David Design and we’re sad to say that we’ve already accrued a tash casualty.

Yes that’s right tash fans one of our team has left the challenge choosing to shave. Unfortunately the person we’re naming and shaming is our fearless leader, Huw David… tut, tut, tut, shame on on you Huw but nevermind he has promised a hefty donation so the challenge continues.

To date, 15 days into the challenge we’ve collected £110.46 inc Gift aid which is ok but we’re looking to raise as much as possible for such a worthy cause. If you can spare a pound please feel free to donate via our dedicated online fundraising page which can be found at: http://www.justgiving.com/growatash2010

See you next week tash fans and remember ‘when the growing get tough, the tough get growing’.
