Huw David helps business start-ups

I have recently completed work on the branding, promotional literature, stationery and company website for new business start-up Down to Earth.

Down to Earth is a unique service offering consultancy, advice and training primarily for smallholders, equine yards and new landowners. Their aim is to help their clients achieve their vision and to enjoy their land to the full.

I'm free (lance)

The long awaited day has come! As of this day, October 31 (Halloween, ironic eh?) I am entering a new era in my professional life. I am now officially a freelancer.

What does it mean for me? It is the fulfilment of a longstanding dream. Hopefully it will give me a better quality of life and a little bit more freedom. I’m quite looking forward to having flexible working hours and not being attached to a specific location. Technically, I can go anywhere I want and do what I want.

So what are the plans? Well, I'm really not too sure what this freelancing will look like. I have some commercial projects already to start and am developing new relationships daily. If you wish to hire an experienced professional Huw David is open for business.

Jumping in at the deep end

There comes a point in a person’s life where he/she has to make an important, possibly life-changing decision. A time where you must step outside the comfort zone and move away from the usual. Today was that day.

Today I finally decided to do what I had been promising to do for so long. Today I handed in my notice. Soon I will not be anyone’s employee. I am going freelance and that is probably the biggest decision I have made in my professional life so far. I am very excited about it and also very nervous. I spent the best part of 6 years at the job I am now leaving, putting all my energies and enthusiasm into ‘our projects’. Now I’m going to concentrate on ‘my projects’ with the hope that my energies and passion for work will be fully appreciated.

It’s the start of a big adventure. Soon I’ll be officially swimming with the big fish. Hope the water’s warm!

For all of you that have supported me with this decision, thank you. I won't let you down.
