Huw who?

I am a Graphic Designer by trade, but I prefer to think of myself as a problem solver. I am passionate about achieving memorable, durable and engaging creative solutions for each and every project.

I am always striving to progress my work, explore new directions, to be different, share ideas, keep learning, take on new challenges and above all — stay honest!

I'm passionate about my work but I have a highly pragmatic approach to getting the job done. I consider myself to be vibrant not flashy and confident not arrogant.

Above all, I understand the needs of my clients.

Why problem solver?

It's simple really. I believe that the power of design and intelligent thinking are vital and strategic tools for solving problems and communicating ideas.

These tools used correctly in the right hands can be very powerful. They can help businesses compete, grow and more importantly, prosper. Quite simply, good design and intelligent thinking empowers businesses to meet and surpass their goals — problem solved.

Looking ahead

In October 2005 I made the bold decision* to leave the comforts of my job as a Senior Designer in a successful Cardiff based design consultancy. My passion for design, ambition and enthusiasm for taking on new challenges led me in a new, exciting direction.

I am currently based just outside Cardiff in a sunny town called Llantrisant. Here I work from a small, but perfectly formed studio designing for print, web and anything else I can get my hands on.

A broad mix of freelance work, ongoing contract work and private commissions for an ever expanding (and pretty impressive) client list keeps me busy. I am also developing my own products and planning for continued personal and professional growth.

What floats my boat?

Clean design, inspirational campaigns, spring and summer, a dedication to personal growth, loyalty, passion, attention to detail, jam doughnuts, great ideas, great solutions, laughter and every now and then the odd beer!
